Privacy Policy

What we collect from everyone

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request details, such as IP address, browser type and the page asked for, and keeps them for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
• Call taps. When you tap Call on a listing, we save which business, the time, and a random ID stored in your browser. We don't see or record the call itself.
• “Did you reach them?” If you answer, we save your answer and roughly how long you were away from the page. Answers from signed-in homeowners can count toward a pro's response numbers, which are shown only as totals, never with your name.

The measuring tools

• Address search. The address you type is sent to the US Census Bureau's geocoder to find it on the map. We don't save it to our database. The answer may be cached for up to a day so repeat searches are fast.
• Roof size. We send the map point (latitude and longitude) for that address to Google's Solar API and show you the result. We don't store Google's answer.
• Yard map. Your browser loads satellite pictures directly from Esri, so Esri receives your IP address and the map area you're viewing. The shapes you draw stay in your browser and aren't sent to us.
• Rooms. The rooms you enter are saved only in your browser, so they're still there next time. Clearing your browser data removes them.

If you sign in

We sign you in with a link sent to your email address. We keep your email address and the sign-in cookies that keep you signed in. Signed-in call taps and answers are linked to your account, so we can make sure each answer comes from a real call and is counted only once a day.

If you claim a business

• We send a code by text or voice call to the phone number on the listing, and we keep a record of each code sent and checked.
• We keep what you add: fees, hours, license numbers, notes, insurance certificates and ownership documents.
• Fees, hours and license details are shown publicly on your listing. Insurance certificates and ownership documents are kept in private storage, and only our staff open them, to review your claim.

Business listings themselves come from public business data and public state records (see Data sources). If you own a listed business and want something corrected or removed, email us.

Who helps us run the site

These companies process information for us, only to provide their service:

• Vercel: hosting and server logs
• Supabase: database, sign-in and private file storage
• Resend: sign-in emails
• Twilio: phone codes for business claims
• Google: roof size (Solar API)
• Esri: satellite pictures
• US Census Bureau: address search

The roof tool uses Google Maps features and content, so Google's use of the information it receives is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the site from harm or fraud, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would still apply to it.

How long we keep it

Account and claim information is kept while your account or claim is active, and deleted when you ask unless the law requires us to keep it. Call taps and answers are kept as long as they're needed for response numbers. We may keep totals that don't identify anyone.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you, or ask how it's used. Email support@serviceproshub.com from the address you sign in with. We'll answer within 45 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking.

You can also use the site without signing in, and clear the random ID and saved rooms by clearing your browser data for findaprohub.com.

Security, children and changes

Information is encrypted in transit, and private files are kept in storage only our staff can open. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there's less to protect.

Find a Pro isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
